What MIAU is
Section titled “What MIAU is”MIAU is where creators make money from their work, and where fans can actually find them.
Most creator sites have no discovery: you have to already know a creator’s name to look them up. We fixed that. MIAU has a swipeable discovery feed and a search that understands what you type, and the open feed is share-safe by design. Our AI rates every upload the moment it lands and sorts it, so only content rated clean reaches the open feed and everything else lives behind the paywall. That is why MIAU is the only platform in the world allowed to run a free, open discovery feed in front of paid creator content, with nothing standing between a visitor and the feed.
That clean front door is the point. It’s screenshot-safe and share-safe, so it travels anywhere and keeps the platform professional. Behind their paywall, creators sell whatever they want within the law, through subscriptions, pay-per-view, and paid messages. And every creator is a verified human: before anyone can earn, they pass government ID and face-match verification, and every upload passes eleven layers of screening before it can appear anywhere.
It’s built today, not a promise. The open discovery feed, platform-wide search, subscriptions, pay-per-view, tips, paid messages, payments, Creator Studio with the MIAU AI coach, identity verification, and the screening pipeline are all live right now. Card payments are approved and go live with the official platform launch in October.
Creators keep 88%. Most platforms take 20%. We take 12%.
What $MIAU is
Section titled “What $MIAU is”$MIAU is the platform’s token.
One thing to get straight first: $MIAU is not the money inside the app. Content is priced in dollars. When a fan pays a creator, that happens in stable money (USDC), and a creator’s income never jumps around with a token price. The token does a different job, and this page walks through the whole mechanism, start to finish.
The pot
Section titled “The pot”MIAU takes a commission on everything that sells on the platform. When fans pay in ordinary money, by card or in stablecoins, a percentage of that commission is set aside in real money. Not tokens, actual dollars. Call it the pot.
The pot refills with every card and stablecoin sale, so the more the platform sells, the bigger the pot. What the pot is for comes next.
Pay with MIAU
Section titled “Pay with MIAU”A fan buying content priced in dollars has three ways to pay: card, stablecoins, or $MIAU. Paying with $MIAU earns the fan a discount, and that discount comes out of MIAU’s commission, never out of what the creator earns.
Nobody has to gamble on a coin for this to work:
- The fan pays the real price. At the moment of purchase we read the live market price of the token and charge the exact dollar amount in $MIAU, at the real price right then, never an invented rate.
- The creator is paid immediately, in stablecoins, out of the pot. Their full earnings, the same as any other sale. They never see a token, and a sale paid in $MIAU looks identical to a sale paid any other way.
- The $MIAU the fan paid goes to the treasury and is never sold.
As long as there is money in the pot, fans can pay this way.
The buyback
Section titled “The buyback”Look at what just happened on that sale. MIAU paid out real dollars and received tokens. That is a buyback. It is the same as taking revenue and buying $MIAU on the open market, except done this way the token also has a real use inside the app.
And because the pot refills from card and stablecoin sales, more platform activity means a bigger pot, which means more tokens paid in and held, permanently out of circulation.
The buyback is a rule-based supply mechanism funded by a percentage of the platform’s commission. It is not a dividend, distribution, yield, profit-share, or price guarantee, and it creates no expectation of financial return. Coins acquired are held in the treasury.
What MIAU deliberately does not do
Section titled “What MIAU deliberately does not do”The token is never the money. Content is priced in dollars and creators are paid in real money, always. Projects that made their token the currency of their app collapsed in their first bear market: when the price falls, the people selling stop being paid properly and the marketplace dies with them. MIAU’s marketplace runs on stable money by design, in every market.
No printed rewards. MIAU never creates new tokens as rewards. The token’s mint authority is revoked on-chain, so no new $MIAU can ever be created, by anyone, including us. Nothing in the design depends on the next buyer arriving.
Nothing in operations touches the price. If the token went to zero tomorrow, creators would be paid the same and the platform would run the same. The only thing lost would be the buying budget. That is the whole point of the design: the platform never depends on the token.
Where this is going
Section titled “Where this is going”Built and ready: the open discovery feed, Explore search, subscriptions, pay-per-view, tips, paid messages, payments, identity verification for every creator, eleven-layer screening, age verification at the moment of purchase where the law requires it, and Creator Studio with the MIAU AI coach.
Coming next:
- Card payments, approved, going live with the official platform launch in October.
- A personalized feed that learns from what fans actually pay for. The platform already records that signal; the ranking that reads it comes next.
- The engagement layer: CatNip in-app credit and gifts, opening to fans.
- Pay with MIAU and the buyback you just read about, rolling out as the platform grows.
- A way for fans to back the creators they believe in. Coming later, built carefully and the right way.
Common questions
Section titled “Common questions”Is $MIAU an investment? We do not offer or sell $MIAU as an investment, and it carries no rights to profit, ownership, or revenue. Whether any digital asset is a security is a legal determination. Read the Risks and consult your own advisers.
Who pays for the discount? MIAU does, out of its own commission. The creator’s earnings are calculated on the full price on every sale, whatever the fan paid with.
Why does the token even exist? To give fans a cheaper way to pay inside the app, and to give the platform a rule-based way to end up holding its own token, funded by real revenue. Both come from the same mechanism: the pot pays the creator, and the fan’s tokens land in the treasury.
What if the pot is empty? Then Pay with MIAU pauses until card and stablecoin sales refill it. The other ways to pay keep working, and creators are paid the same either way.
Will the team dump their coins? Roughly 60% of the supply sits in a treasury controlled by a multi-signature wallet, and much of that is locked on-chain through Streamflow, where nobody can move it before its unlock date, including us. The token’s mint and freeze authorities are both revoked, and the tokens fans pay with are never sold. All of it is verifiable on-chain.
If the token drops, do I still get paid as a creator? Yes. Always. Creators are paid in stable money, and the token never sits in the payment path. Even if the token went to zero tomorrow, every creator would still get paid in full.
Any token carries risk. The price can drop, including to zero. It can be hard to sell. Technology and smart contracts can fail. Rules and laws can change. The platform can change. $MIAU trades on a public market, so we don’t control who buys it. It’s on you to follow the laws where you live.
